In Real Estate it is always location, location, location! When you use a computer, whether for personal use, home office, or in an SMB setting, it should always be back-up, back-up, back-up! The importance of back-up can't be understated! Fifty percent of the "emergency" calls The Mac MD receives are due to no or poorly implemented back up plans or solutions. There are many ways you can unintentionally lose information on your Macintosh computer. Children playing or drinking near your keyboard, you unintentionally spill a cup of coffee or soda. A storm causes a power surge or outage. Lightning. Floods, Theft or a Hard Drive crash or failure can all cause some or even total data loss. Backing up the information/files/data/photos regularly can allow you to get some, if not all, of your information back. The Mac MD Recommends having an automated back up plan for your Mac or Macintosh Computers that is performed on a daily basis. This emergency recovery plan can literally save you pain, heartache, not to mention thousands or tens to hundred’s of thousands of dollars of data. Here is a partial list of irreplaceable files we have found our clients (big and small) keep on their computers.
Needless to say we all can and will benefit from having a solid back up plan and schedule. Whether you are a home computer user, a workstation on a network within an organization, or even a PowerBook user that plugs into your organizations network via Ethernet or even wirelessly now and then. It makes no difference what type of user you consider yourself, The Mac MD will outfit you with the best system for you or your organizations needs. Contact The Mac MD today to give yourself piece of mind, and we will have you backing up painlessly quicker than you can say “My machine crashed, now what?” :End
